James Rodriguez was the star player for Colombia’s World Cup soccer team, which fell 2- 1 to Brazil in the quarter finals over the weekend.
But, a pretty cool thing happened to him as he scored his team’s only goal on a penalty kick late in the game. Immediately afterward, a gigantic green insect – no one’s 100% certain what it was, since Brazil has thousands of choices to offer up – landed on James’ sleeve, and accompanied him as he ran back to join his teammates.
James’ teammates, that is, not the insects. Because if there had been a swarm of those things, that stadium would have emptied out in a hurry.
Check out the video, though. It doesn’t seem to have bother James much. He might even have slapped a leash on it and taken it home.
