So…. as the “new kid” in town, we’re conducting a little research to help complete my initiation into Northeast P.A. What things do I NEED to do? What places do I need to see? Basically, tell me what makes this area famous. Or infamous. Suggest to me ANYTHING you think I need to try in order to become a true NEPA homegirl! Places, festivals, food, sporting events, etc. Then we’re gonna narrow down your suggestions, take the best ones, and I’ll tackle them one by one (I may even bring my parents on a few outings – they’ll be visiting from Michigan during the weekend of August 21 & 22). Spring Brook Twp Volunteer Fire Company Cow Flop. August 12-14 This is fun times! Watching a cow poop on your square to try to win money. $10/ticket and you can win between $500 and $2500. Also, raffle baskets, over 100 of them. Food, beer! Always a great time!
