ATTENTION, any awesome people who wanna help this beautiful little girl!! The Red Cross is having four blood drives tomorrow for a gorgeous little angel from Hazleton named Audrianna Bartol (pictured below). Audrianna is 6 years old and was diagnosed with cancer when she was 2. Part of her treatment is regular blood transfusions, so they're in constant need of donors, being that her blood type is very rare: Type A Negative I'm told by the Red Cross that she can RECEIVE either A Negative or O Negative, but I don't know what her specific doctor's orders are. Either way, give it. It'll get used! Each drive is from 11am to 7pm. Beautiful little girl

I will definitely be going after work tomorrow. I am A negative and there is so many people out there that need help. The littlest thing can make a world of difference to a child and any gesture big or small will help motivate and keep help this beautiful little girl then that's what I shall do. I cannot afford to donate money or I would but I feel I am giving her something better, I am giving her life .. More life than what she had yesterday and that's the best gift of all!

Wonderful Cause

I'm B Positive so unfortunately, I cannot help Audrianna but I donate my blood to the red cross as often as they will let me (every eight weeks!)

Saw a post on FB

I live in Allentown, and saw this posted on a Scranton friend's FB page. I am A- as well and donate regularly in the Lehigh Valley. My question is, where I donate, the Miller Blood Center, they ask if I'd like to donate to a particular group. Does she need "blood credit" for lack a a better term? I mean does she and her family need to come up with money or replacement the blood used for her treatments? If so I would gladly offer my future donations as a credit towards her, but would need to know how this is done. I last gave in mid December and can't donate again for another month or so. Kudos to you Lissa...finally radio and the media used for a kind and godly purpose.

About the "blood credit", I honestly don't know. I asked the Red Cross rep that we usually speak with and they didn't know either. But maybe if you call 1-800-RED CROSS and ask that specific question, they can find you someone who knows a little more. Thank you SO much for wanting to help! You're wonderful. I appreciate all the positive feedback I got on this - both here and on FB. Warms my heart! I'll keep everyone posted on any other events for Audrianna. THANK YOU again! :) ~Lissa
