I am SO damaged goods! :D

My best friend Tina came for a visit this weekend, all the way from Cincinnati. We had SO much fun – laughing, eating, drinking, poking around my new ‘hood. I’ve known Tina for eight years now and when we met back in the day I knew immediately that we’d be fast friends. She’s got the biggest heart in the world (I think it has seventeen ventricles) and she’s wicked funny. But my FAVORITE part of the weekend was getting our matching tattoos! It was her idea, so I sketched something real quick when we woke up on Saturday. By late afternoon, we were newly inked and eating ice cream. In case you can’t tell from the pic, it’s a design of two people hugging. It’s to remind us that no matter how crappy our day is (or how much or co-host makes fun of our new tattoo……Rocky) we always have someone there who loves us and is giving us a big fat hug. Awwwww…so freakin’ touching you just wanna punch yourself in the face, ain’t it? Seriously, I’ve already caught myself looking at it during a totally chaotic moment and feeling this tremendous peace. Ahhhhhhh….awesome. Tina – I promise to miss you every day! And wrist – I promise to wash and disinfect you every day.

I think it is great that you and your friend got matching tattoos. I was listening this morning while I was taking my son to school and I agree with you. I got a tattoo when I was 18 and I am 31 now I never regret it. I am going to get another one for my youngest son. He was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes last year and was life lighted to Hershey. He was only 21 months old at the time and the diagnosis changed my life in the blink of an eye. I am getting one to symbolize what a strong little boy I have and to remind me how precious life truely is. I am also doing a walk for him in his name in Hershey to help raise money for Juvenile Diabetes. I think it was a great idea to have your matching tattoos and who cares what others think. I am looking forward to getting my tattoo in honor of my son.

My zodiac sign is Cancer and if you google the symbol for cancer it looks like the number 69. I got that tattoo on my foot, I had them design in from a vine of flowers into the shape of the symbol and everyone says it's beautiful but always thinks it's the number 69 and their minds go to a dirty place. It does not mean that, but the year I wa born was 1969 so it has 2 meaning for me, and nothing to do with what people think it is. I don't care what anyone thinks, I love it, it's my 4th and second favorite. My 1st favorite is a heart with with wind blowing through it for an ex boyfriend of mine who was like wind blowing through my heart, in and out of my life, still love the tattoo. No regrets ever!! So love your tattoo no matter what anyone says. B
