2.18 236 days . . .

I popped onto our wedding website this morning and saw that we only have 236 days to go! I know that may seem like a TON of time, but I don't feel very productive lately and with so many loose ends . . . I sort of freaked. I immediately checked a wedding planning timeline to make sure we are still on track and according to this checklist, we are. That's a relief.

8 MONTHS

  • Reserve reception band or DJ
  • Reserve caterer
  • Buy your wedding dress!

6 MONTHS

  • Reserve florist
  • Reserve photographer
  • Finalize guest list
  • Select invitations
  • Reserve blocks of hotel rooms
  • Send Save-the-Date cards
  • Begin researching honeymoon options
  • Book wedding officiant or clergy
We've somehow already managed to check off all of those tasks with the exception of sending the Save the Dates. We attempted to finish them this weekend, but still need to address them. We did however share the duty of licking the envelopes . . . YUCK! As much as I love our Save the Date magnets, the envelopes tasted DISGUSTING. And yes, we licked every last one. No, I didn't think it was a better idea to wet a sponge. ;)

236 days until we say "I DO!"

My FOREVER Valentine!

Hi friends! Big BRIDALSHOW coming up this weekend at Genetti's in Wilkes Barre! If you haven't registered yet, it's not too late! Do it here: http://nepabridalshow.com/bride-registration/

They are a TON of fun and you can win all kinds of awesome prizes . . . including $1,500! (Who doesn't need that when planning a wedding?!)

A Valentine's Recap . . . My MOH happens to be the craftiest person EVER and gave me my birthday yesterday yesterday . . . have you seen these on PINTEREST? She learned how to SEW just to make them!! I pinned them a couple weeks ago and she made them! HOW awesome! I still can't get over how talented she is!

Call me cheesy if you want, but look what I sent my FH-John for Valentine's Day! The guys at his office loved it. (I sent two, can't expect 6 guys to share 1 pie! haha)

Since this was our first and only Valentine's Day as an engaged couple, I HAD to find John a card that specifically referred to him a "FIANCE." 4 card stores later, I found one! He on the other hand was much cute and inserted "FUTURE" into a card that called me "WIFE." I loved it. I also came home to this teddy rocking some Tory Burch shades!

Yup, for yet another reason . . . he's a keeper! What a guy, huh? He's so cute. He even wrapped it inside a SEPHORA box to throw me off. Here I am thinking, "Sephora?! Way to go! What a brave guy to shop SEPHORA without me!" I think i'll keep him. My FUTURE HUSBAND is making dinner tonight too . . . what a lucky gal! :)

Tomorrow happens to be my birthday. The big 2-7. We're probably going to take care of some wedding stuff, see a movie, and then head to a friend's 30th birthday. Sounds like a great way to spend the day to me! :) It's time to address people PROPERLY on our guest list and start making address labels for the SAVE THE DATEs. You'd die if you our first draft guest list. My mom saw it and was like, "ummm, just reminding you, you need to fix that before you send it out for printing." Haha, we knowwwww! That's the wedding task for this weekend!

Save the Dates have ARRIVED!
Look what came in the mail yesterday! Our SAVE THE DATE magnets! We ordered them from WeddingPaperDivas.com (they were super nice and easy to work with) and I was so excited to see them already on our doorstep when I got home last night! I stuffed most of the envelopes with them already and quickly remembered how DISGUSTING envelopes taste. You'd think someone would have made a fortune by now and invented a delcious tasting envelope ... but nope, still yuck.
I just noticed . . . John looks like he has a widows peak in this picture . . . and he doesn't . . . i'm the one with the massive peak! Oh well, we saved this picture from Facebook and blogs until now with the Save The Date! The photo is from our engagement session with Bruce - I'mage Photo Studios. I feel like getting these is a big deal . . . things are moving along nicely and now it's time to tell everyone to MARK THEIR CALENDARS! Eeeeeeee!

Other than get these out in the mail . . . I feel like we're right on schedule! (According to all of the timelines i've seen!) John's parents are hosting an engagement party for us in a couple of weeks which we are so looking forward to (but I still need to find an outfit for!). . . and I think i've FINALLY found the bridesmaid dresses!

Until next time - XO
