Yesterday was a pretty insane day . . . and we hope everyone affected by the record flooding is safe and well. KRZ is working on putting together a flood relief drive as we speak and we'll have more information later on this afternoon how you can help those who lost everything in the flooding.

It's so hard to believe that Sunday is the 10th anniversary of 9/11. I was just reading a few celebs recall where they were when they found out about the attack on 9-11-01. People always say you never forget where you were and what you were doing on huge days like that that go down in history. I was only 15 and I still can remember like it was yesterday. I was a junior in high school and I was sitting in the computer lab. We were learning about internet navigation (I was still using AOL at home, that's how fresh the internet was to us) and a teacher ran into the lab and told everyone to do a search for "NYC towers." Before that day, we weren't really allowed to just do searches on our own, but learned the power of quick information that day. We watch pictures keep updating on our screens. The rest of the day, every classroom watched coverage on tv and didn't open a single book. We'll never forget. <3

IN MEMORY OF ALL WE LOST, THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11- STATISTICS: Times of impact: 8:46 a.m. and 9:02 a.m. Time the burning towers stood: 56 minutes and 102 minutes. Time they took to fall: 12 seconds. 2819 dead from 115 different nations. 343 Fireman/paramedics, 23 NYPD, 37 Port Authority officers.

I'm listening to Lady Antebellum's new cd Own the Night in the office today. It's not even out yet, but my friend works at our country station and gets her hands on the good stuff before it's released. God I love them.
