This past weekend was incredible proof that NEPA is an amazing place to call home. KRZ's Entercom Cares flood relief drive was a HUGE success . . . because of you. Over this past weekend, over $17,000 in cash donations and over $200,000 in cleaning supplies was raised to support flood victims… and everything you donated is staying local. I’ve now witnessed the “valley with a heart” in action. The outpouring of love, quick response to support, and compassion the people of NEPA showed in reaction to the flooding was incredible.
Children donated their allowance, families who were victims themselves donated supplies and money because they knew other people had suffered worse, and together as a community, we filled 4 huge box trucks full of supplies.
While we spent much of the weekend trying to help the relief efforts from the flood here locally, I spent a lot of time watching coverage of the anniversary of 9/11. This commercial for State Farm distracted me last night and now I can't stop telling people about it. I just loved it. Check it out! :)
