Alright guys...here's my gift from me to you. I was going to use this idea myself but I can't get free of other stuff tonight so won't be needing this...It's simple and when people ask what you are, and you tell them, you'll probably get a few laughs.
Just wear nothing but gray clothing....from head to toe: shirt, tie, pants, shoes...light grays, dark grays...then get some gray or silver spray for your hair and if you're really ambitious, gray face paint. Maybe a gray hat. What are you???
50 Shades of Gray!!! hahaha
By the way...here's what I did the last two halloweens if you wanna try and pull off these!
Okay, we weren't sure which areas were trick or treating tonight and which ones weren't. Sandy kinda put all our worlds into a tizzy (SHE'S the real witch). So, we put the question out on the air this morning! Here's what we found out:
GOING ON TONIGHT:
Wilkes Barre, Scranton, Plains, Hanover Twp, Carbondale (this includes downtown businesses), McAdoo, Freeland, Ringtown, and Berwick is doing tonight AND tomorrow night!
MOVED TO ANOTHER DAY:
Stroudsburg is Saturday 3p-5p, Wayne County is Monday, Honesdale is Monday
*****Whenever you go, have fun, be safe, and drop any unwanted Snickers at the radio station for Lissa Lou. She will give you a free hug. Happy Halloween.
While we still had power I thought I'd share a few thoughts about our new favorite B*tch, Sandy!
Above was my view on the way home from work yesterday. I bet you experienced the same kind of thing. And the winds really hadn't kicked up yet.
One of the more powerful images of the day...the dangling crane in NYC, 90 stories in the air. Hopefully, it is still there by the time you are reading this.
Another problem in NYC. Trump's hair! Give that man some product.
I love watching storm coverage. TV stations insist on sending their reporters into the eye of the storm. It's a test to see how close they can get to the storm surge without getting washed out to sea.
Here's another one. She must be new. Hasn't yet recieved her official CNN hat.
Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ and Springsteen's old stomping grounds, The Stone Pony. Kind of ironic that on his 2nd album you'll find a song named "Sandy."
I got to act like a kid again this weekend! Saturday I hosted my monthly Big Brother event at Roba's Family Farm in North Abbington Township.
Here's my newest best bud Noah helping me pick out some pumpkins.
What a great place for kids!
The goats ate out of our hands and ate everything in site, including the lid to Noah's feed cup.
When was the last time you roasted marshmallows over an open fire and made S'mores?
Ronald McDonald was there to lead the kid's Halloween parade.
One of the coolest attractions: High-powered slingshots that shoot apples hundreds of yards in the air.
Think you might have a few extra hours a month to be a Big Brother or Big Sister to a great kid like Noah? Why not get involved and volunteer? You get to act like a kid again AND have a positive influence on someone's life.

I’m smiling huge today! The NYC marathon is next weekend and I’m feeling really good about my training, so I’m happy about that. PLUS I just found out I’m opening for Hinder (their acoustic show) at Musikfest Café in Bethlehem PA on November 6! WOOOOOHOO! I LOVE Hinder and can’t believe they’re even aware of who I am. It’s mindblowing! Very excited! Here’s the link if you wanna grab tickets and come down. I’d love to see ya! Plus I’d like at least three or four people in the room who know who the hell I am :)
I can't believe I made the Tigers LOSE last night! I take full responsibility - I'm horrible. I neglected to log into my blog account and wish my supercute nephew a HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and that's why the Detroit Tigers failed to be victorious in last night's skirmish. I wished him Happy Bday on Facebook, I Skyped him, but that's not enough!
I should've posted this picture and THEN they would've won! Check it out.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY BENJAMIN!!! You're two!! Aunt Lissa loves you more than anything!
Omigosh, I got home to MICHIGAN this weekend!! It was crazy! I've been very (seriously) depressed this last year about not seeing my Grandparents in two and a half years, so my dad bought plane tickets for me AND my younger brother!! He didn't even tell my mom he was doing it - he told her they were going to pick up a couple Japanese exchange students at the airport, cuz he's a Japanese teacher (makes sense, right?) but then my brother and I got off the plane! She FREAKED! Haha - it was awesome!
I got to see both sets of Grandparents, got to go to church with my whole family, and got to spend some quality time in Paradise, Michigan where I grew up. Paradise is my favorite place on earth. I always tell people I'm gonna retire there someday and be a lonely old hermit who speaks to no one. They think I'm kidding.... nope.
SO..... allow me to bore you with some pics of people you don't know, probably will never meet, but are more precious than life to me :)
Andy (my brother) & I with my Grandma & Grandpa Lamb = LOVE!!
Andy & I with Grandma & Grandpa Krahnke = LOVE and a cornstalk!
My Grandpa Krahnke used to play football for Michigan, so he was VERY excited that they won that day! But his granddaughter was wearing Michigan STATE colors! Eeeks! Hope I don't get disowned.... 'twasn't my fault, Grandpa! It's BillaBong's fault...haa
The Whitefish Point Lighthouse in Paradise - the Edmund Fitzgerald went down here. They have a whole shipwreck museum and movie display about it - you should GO if ever in the area! Fascinating! We took frequent field trips there as kids. Was ten miles from my school..... probably saved on gas.
we climbed the lighthouse...what a view from up top!
Mom & I on top of the lighthouse :)
Andy, Dad, Me, & Mom on the beach. None of them would go swimming with me..... wonder why...
Lake Superior - I LOVE YOU! Canada's only a 19 Mile boat ride across! Not kidding. They used to run booze across this bay during prohibition. Brilliant!
This sandbar is actually quite a distance out in Lake Superior, though you can't really tell from this pic. Maybe it was Dad's plan to bring us all the way out here and then run back really fast and leave us? Hmm..... foiled again old man!!!
Me & Mommy :)
Me & Daddy :)
The only way the weekend could've been MORE perfect was if Jason, Sara, and Benjamin could've joined us! But oh well - Benjamin's 2nd birthday is tomorrow, so Aunt Lissa miiiiiight use that as an excuse to post some more uber-cute pics. Of the ultra-adorable toddler variety. Til then, lighthouse climbers!
You've probably seen the infomercial for Insanity. It's brought to you by the marketing geniuses that brought you P90X. This workout is totally different. Here are the plus and minuses of Insanity:
Plus: it's only 60 days long
workouts are short the first month...about 40 minutes
you will lose bodyfat and improve your cardio endurance DRAMATICALLY
you don't need a single piece of equipment. Nothing! Not even a mat. Nothing.
Sean T. is a great motivator and everything is explained well including the meal plan (super easy to follow and you won't starve at all)
Minuses: It's BRUTALLY hard and it's mostly plyometrics (jump fitness)
the lack of equipment means less exercises to choose from which means it can be repetitive at times
You will sweat like you never have before and you should absolutely wear a heart monitor! It's that intense.
The second month will probably make many people give up! (don't!!!)
And most importantly, your kness will take a pounding from the excessive jumping, day after day, six days a week
Here's my thoughts: It's great if you're an athlete looking to improve cardio strength or leg strength. It's GREAT for flexibility too and for losing bodyfat. But for anyone with joint issues or prior knee injuries, I would choose a different program. If you haven't exercised on a regular basis in awhile, I would NOT start with this program. Beach Body has tons of great programs like P90X, P90X2, Brazilian Butt Lift, Ten Minute Trainer and about 10 others. You can check all of them out at my website nepa90.com. That;s how much I believe in this company....Feel free to email me with any questions.
And just for the record, after having tried virtually all the workouts (with the exception of their new bodybuilding program Body Beast, which I start Tuesday), I would rate P90X as still the best program I've ever experienced. Good luck!
We are in the midst of our Pregnant Pumpkin Pageant and thought it would be fun to catch up with last years winner! Meet Sophia! She's now 10 months old ... and her mom Holly is on the left! She enjoyed a YEAR'S Supply of DIAPERS after winning the 2011 PPP!!! Precious, right?
